Madison Fawns

As graduation approaches, I have had the opportunity to reflect on the last five years as a member of Manitoba High School Rodeo. As I look back, I realize there are numerous people that I must thank. Primarily, my parents for their unwavering support and for their initial decision to start my sisters and I into the sport of rodeo. My parents have been my wheels, my support group, my bank, and my coach and for that I am grateful. Another person who has been crucial to the development of my rodeo skills has been Justin Bridgeman. Justin has helped me to improve through encouragement and coaching. He has always been someone that I look up to.

In the fall, I will be attending the Bachelor of Nursing Program at the University of Lethbridge. After graduating from this program, I plan to apply to Medical School with the hope of becoming an Obstetrician/ Gynaecologist.

I am grateful for my membership and all the opportunities it presented me. One of many, being the chance to travel and compete throughout Manitoba. I wish the best of luck to my fellow graduates with their future endeavors and success in their last rodeos as M.H.S.R.A members.

Tie down and Team Roping

What I enjoyed most about MHSRA is being given the opportunity to do what I love.   My passion is Rodeo and I look forward to what is ahead of me. I was very fortunate to experience many things that I could not have done if I was not involved with MHSRA. My biggest highlight while being involved with High School rodeo was attending the High School National Finals Rodeo in Gillette Wyoming with partner Tyson Salmons and being the first team roping team in Manitoba to qualify for the short go.

I want to thank all the people that stood beside me through my ups and downs. I am so grateful for all of you.
