Junior High Rodeo Division

Timed event roping, roughstock riding and racing rodeo competition for Manitoba's junior (Cinch Division) and high school (MHSRA) kids. Established in 1985.

MANITOBA HIGH SCHOOL RODEO ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES SCHOLARSHIPS FOR GRADS OF 1999!

Manitoba High School Rodeo Association is very pleased to announce the scholarship winners for 1999. Scholarships of $100 (totaling $1800) were awarded to year-end winners in each event.

The following were yearend champions:

Lindsay Schroeder - Queen

Lonnie Brown - Calf Roping- High Point Cowboy

Dawn Crump- Barrel Racing,Pole Bending- High Point Cowgirl

David Mantei- Bareback

Tyrel Weiler - Saddle Bronc

Ashley Gillespie- Breakaway Roping

Jodi Campbell - Goat Tying

Lee Brown - Steer Wrestling

Joe King & Scott King - Team Roping

Justin Hogue - Bull Riding 

Lindsay Schroeder will also receive an additional $400 Queen Scholarship from IVOMEC.

Scholarships were also paid for several other awards:

- Rookie Boy & Rookie Girl - David Mantei & Kirstin Wiebe.

- Hard Luck Cowboy & Cowgirl - Jesse Whitehead & Terri Blackshaw.

Other scholarships, based on academic ability, achievement, motivation and promise, with emphasis placed on character, leadership abilities, financial need, length and type of course, contributions to rodeo and community, were awarded as follows:
